Disclaimer – This
world and the characters in it were created using concepts and rules
from Dungeons and Dragons and Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. While
based on these principles, the setting, characters, and plots are of
my own imagining. As far as I know, being inspired by or putting one’s
own spin on an existing work is perfectly kosher, so it’s only if I
swipe someone else’s character, plot, or setting outright that I’ll
credit it. Aside from that, any resemblance to already existing
characters or stories is strictly coincidental.
My World, My Rules- For simplicity’s sake and also because it’s what
I’m most familiar with, the rules of this world are mostly the same
ones as our Penderyn campaign world (as far as how the world works;
the setting, characters, and history are all different). We kick it
old school, First Edition style, yo, plus a few things that our DM
actually liked and adopted from the later editions.
I'll note any deviations from that as they come up. The only one so
far is that I would like to share in 3rd Edition’s ‘anything goes’
attitude when it comes to race and class restrictions (in other words,
there are few if any.) Also, in addition to the classes our DM allows,
Turns characters might also be sorcerers, barbarians, or the
occasional prestige class.
