Human Paladin

Aislinn

Hometown: Port Nissir

Appearance:

Long curly red hair, lithe, athletic build

Aislinn is a human paladin from Port Nissir in the Saraamon Baronies. She became a paladin as it was expected by her family, and she now serves under Sir Laryn Kayborn, Knight of the Highlands. She worships Manannan Mar Lir, god of the sea, and Silvanus, god of the forest.

Aislinn is also a historian, and began traveling the continent in search of adventure and in order to learn more about the Undead Wars and different regions of the continent. She is currently semi-retired from service as a knight, teaching and studying at a history college in the kingdom. Aislinn also enjoys studying the customs of various cultures in the kingdom, horseback riding, and swimming.

Half-Elf Cleric

Anya

Hometown: Cy'pren Forest

Appearance:

Anya is 62 inches tall and weighs but 100 pounds.

A half-elf High Priestess from the northern Cy'pren Forest, Anya worships Aerdrie Faenya, the Goddess of Air and Water. She is an accomplished flutist as well as a Ceryth Tabor historian.

In her adventuring days, Anya was a regular at Roccoe's Pub, but she has since she retired to the woods.

Birchum

Played by: Michelle

Michelle

Half-Elf Ranger

Birchum

Hometown:

Appearance:

Half-elf adult male. Birchum's face shows intellect and confidence, and he moves gracefully and quietly. A talkative sort, he smiles often. Birchum keeps in good shape, and has dark hair and dangerously sexy eyes.

Birchum is a thoughtful and polite half-elf ranger, and his pleasant personality and educated manner belie the fact that he's an experienced enough warrior to take the head off an ogre. A part-time adventuring companion to the group, Birchum spends the rest of his time meandering the countrysides of the kingdom, meeting the people and studying the ways of nature. A skilled tracker and outdoorsman, Birchum is comfortable with animals and humanoids alike, and familiar with the use of both weapons and wit.

One of the more rational of the fighters in the band, Birchum prefers to take the measure of an opponent or situation before diving headlong into confrontation. As such, he is occasionally exasperated by the more exuberant nature of the other warriors he travels with. Always concerned with the party's best interest and in doing the right thing, Birchum is a virtuous and dependable comrade, and is quickly gaining a reputation for himself during his travels with the adventuring team. Whether this is a good or bad thing, he hasn't quite decided.

Demmi

Played by: Debbie

Debbie

Halfling Cleric

Demmi

Hometown:

Appearance:

Demmi is a Tallfellow halfling cleric. She specializes in herbalism and healing. (Think a miniature Dr. Quinn - Medicine Woman. )

Demmi likes nothing better than to discover some new herb or potion for her doctor's bag. So what is she doing running around dodging vampires and finding gateways to the elemental planes? She follows that nutty halfling god Brandobaris, god of adventurers/ adventuring, so she has a little dose of the reckless spirit. But keeping in mind she's only 3 ft tall, if the going gets really tough, she climbs a tree or becomes invisible until the dust settles. Afterwards she's happy to pitch in and patch everyone up so they can continue adventuring.

Hezzakiyah

Played by: Mo

Mo

Elf Fighter/Archer

Hezzy

Hometown:

Appearance:

Friendly but quiet. His long hair is kept pulled back out of his eyes. His hands are roughly calloused from decades of pulling bow strings.

This high elf has a more rugged air about him than people of his race tend to. He's a simple and stoic wanderer, and those who don't know him find him hard to read, even for an elf. Hezzakiyah's dedicated to learning the art of the bow, and has become quite a self-trained archer. His shooting skills and kill ratios are impressive, but make him somewhat hesitant to get involved in hand-to-hand melee.

A very practical elf, Hezzakiyah likes to reason with friends and enemies alike, and would much rather talk his way out of a predicament than try to fight. Hezzy likes to be prepared, but is still somewhat naive of the ways of the world outside his elven society, and therefore is sometimes taken by surprise by the odd and tumultuous adventuring life he's adopted.

A good soul and trustworthy comrade, the archer is fast becoming embroiled in large-scale campaign events that are beyond his expectations and, quite frankly, a little nerve-wracking for this normally self-composed elf. But never one to let a situation get him down, he grits his teeth and grabs his bow, facing each adventure with cautious optimism.

Kendall

Played by: Todd

Todd

Human Druid

Kendall

Hometown: Kalys Forest region

Appearance:

With a scruffy beard on his merry visage, Kendall dresses in the simple, heavy clothes of the Kalys Forest people. Usually has twigs and dirt clinging to his robe hem.
Smells of elderberries.

Kendall the druid has spent his life meandering the leafy domains of the Kalys Woods, in the southern Yanir Region of the kingdom. Many of the settlements there are used to meeting the wandering "forest priests" that care for the verdant area, and Kendall is familiar with many human and humanoid villages in the forest.

He wasn't quite prepared, however, for a chance meeting with the Ki Durkani recently, when he became involved in their efforts to pursue a beautiful but evil vampire from the woodlands and destroy her maurauding orog troops. Realizing that there was much more going on in the world than he's had the opportunity to see, Kendall has stayed on with the group, using his knowledge of the land and his magic talents to take up the adventuring lifestyle.

Kenya

Played by: Jefe

Jefe

Gnome Fighter

This player was awarded the elven medal of a Silverbranch for Valorious conduct.

Kenya

Hometown: Kalimar Range

Appearance:

Bloodshot eyes, quirky grin, uncombed hair. Kenya rarely changes clothes, or washes the ones he does wear. Belches frequently.

The mountain gnome Kenya hailed from the western Kalimar Range. An uncouth and irascible scoundrel, he made his way south into the human lands to seek adventure, and to have sex with "big women". Kenya was always one mug away from devout alcoholism, a product of his one useful skill as a brewer. Treasure he earned adventuring went to stocking a beer cellar in the basement of the house, where Kenya would produce gallons of homemade golden froth, and sleep in an empty barrel cut in half.

Kenya's most recognizable feature was his enormous beer-belly, which he proudly displayed by wearing a defeated hill giant enemy's silver belt buckle as torso armor. He had a pair of long criss-crossed scars in an x-shape across his chest from an encounter with a powerful foe, but both his protruding gut and his scars disappeared after one of his well-intentioned friends once used a wish spell to bring him back to life "in full health".

While his personal habits would shame a goblin, Kenya was a courageous fighter and stalwart adventuring friend. (Close comrades theorize that this was because someone that liquored up had no idea how dangerous his profession was...)

The gnome earned the nickname "The Wise One" during a raid on the heretical Temple of Anshar, where he tried to boldly present himself to the entire assembly of temple warriors as the avatar of their patron deity, known by that title. Unfortunately, it turned out that The Wise One these clerics worshipped was a human female, and so the ruse went quickly downhill from there.

Kenya was once turned to stone by a basilisk, and his roomate at the time, Rafton the elf, placed him in front of the house as a "lawn gnome" for several months until the money to purchase a Turn Stone to Flesh spell was raised.

Kenya retired from the adventuring life some years later, returning to his homelands to take a wife (whom he later described as "troll-like, only meaner") and have several children.

Likeyl ap Kirogik ip Davylnir Kyorik

Played by: Kris

Kris

Human Magic-User

 Likeyl

Hometown: L'Ren

Appearance:

Likeyl has black hair, green eyes, and a square almost boyish face with ruddy cheeks. She is petite and middle-aged but somewhat youthful-looking for her age. (Her true age has been altered due to exposure to temporal fluctuations from the malfunctioning artifact, the Urn of Nintendo.)

Likeyl hails from the rough Kalimarin border town of L'Ren, where her elderly parents own an herb shop. As a girl, Likeyl loved working with her parents in their shop, especially when traveling mages and alchemists visited. Her dealings with the various travelers left her with a knowledge of the customs, etiquette, and languages of many races and peoples, as well as an intense curiosity about alchemy and magic use.

A precocious child, Likeyl befriended an adventuring magic-user who frequented the shop and convinced him to teach her a few cantrips. This made her even more intent on learning all she could about magic. She left L'Ren as a teen in search of adventure and someone to train her in spellcasting.

Willful, arrogant, and very focused on her studies, Likeyl first strikes some as brusque and aloof. However, she is unfailingly loyal to her adventuring companions, and when the subject is magic or adventures past, she can stay up all night talking about spells gone wrong and crazy dungeon mishaps involving weasels and nagas. Like a proud parent, she also loves to talk about her homonculous, Raisin, telling stories about his bravery under fire, loyalty, and craftiness.

Martin Condoin

Played by: Kevin

Kevin

Human Ranger

This player was awarded the elven medal of a Silverbranch for Valorious conduct.

 Martin

Hometown: Maylor Tamborin

Appearance:

Mature human male, with deeply weathered features. Martin has the powerful muscles of an experienced fighter, and this, along with his gruff appearance, often makes others wary until they speak to him. An easy demeanor and fast mind make him personable, while his unpolished manner marks him as an outdoorsman.

Martin is a rather gruff, older human ranger from the western frontier town of Maylor Tamborin. (His true age has been altered due to exposure to temporal fluctuations from the malfunctioning artifact, the Urn of Nintendo.) A self- taught warrior and highly proficient tracker since he was a youth, he found early on that the adventuring life agreed with him. (Especially when he discovered it was profitable.) Martin has a natural affinity with woodland animals, and feels at home in the hills and forests as easily as in the kingdom's cities.

Along with his thoroughly lethal enjoyment of combat, his skills at tracking and identifying border on amazing. ("A deer passed through here. Walking north, sixty-five minutes ago. It was pregnant. And limped on its left haunch. It was chewing beech tree bark. It didn't like the flavor. It prefers walnut.")

An imposing and muscular hulk of a man, Martin grows quickly bored with the etiquette and social niceties of civilized places, and is much more at home swinging his heavy bastard sword in mortal combat with screaming goblinoids in the nastier places of the continent.

Although not terribly educated, Martin is nonetheless highly intelligent, and very clever. This quick wit often makes up for his uncouth mannerisms in formal settings. One of the few remaining Ki Durkani, or Troll Slayers, Martin is well known to the elves as a hero.

Pellie

Played by: Phil

Phil

Gnome Illusionist

 Pellie

Hometown:

Appearance:

Distinguished, mature gnome of the upper middle class. Fine clothes, although somewhat aged and worn.

Pellie the gnome is a gentleman, an educated member of his rural family clan that came to Ceravan City with dreams of becoming a master magician. The gnome is indeed very talented at illusions, and quite a clever and polite soul, and very intelligent. Not a rugged individual, Pellie is average gnomish height, and somewhat older-looking than his actual age. He has the keen look of a learned man, and is quick-witted and noble.

Pellie speaks his known languages without a trace of gnome accent. His tastes run towards the sophisticated, such as theater and orchestra performances. His small beard is always trimmed and combed, and his clothes fashionable without being flashy.

He was quickly slapped out of his small-town naivete when he fell in with the Ki Durkani adventuring band. The formerly reserved and inexperienced illusionist found himself racing all over the continent battling undead, giants, trolls, and floating brains with tentacles to further the cause of goodness and justice. Pellie considered it an honor to use his magic to help others, and was with the Ki Durkani when they discovered and cleansed the evil Temple of Tharizdun in the Death Lands.

After a few years of adventuring, Pellie returned home to write accounts of his journeys and to teach what magic he had learned to outlying communities, to help future gnome generations battle wrongdoing, as he has. (And quite honestly, he was a little tired of eating stale rations and having large humanoids try to skewer him on occasion.) If the foreboding cloud of evil ever threatens the land again, Pellie could surely be lured out of his retirement; but until then, he's happy to stay on his porch and sun his nose like a respectable gnome.

Rafton

Played by: Mike

Kevin

Elf Fighter

This player was awarded the elven medal of a Silverbranch for Valorious conduct.

 Rafton

Hometown: Elfwood

Appearance:

Rafton has the dark skin of his race, giving him a tanned appearance year-round. He's slender like those of his elven heritage, but his profession has left him toned and muscular, with more than a few scars along his body and arms. Even in dire circumstances, Rafton usually has a slight smile on his face.

Although coming from a sylvan elf tribe of the northwest forests of Vyaswood, Rafton is far more curious and outgoing than others of his race. A charming rogue, Rafton has the dark exotic complexion and regal elven features that attract women of all races, and he enjoys the attention of the ladies. When not adventuring, he can often be found romancing one of the local girls... frequently to their boyfriends' ire.

More a lover than a fighter, his swordsmanship often leaves something to be desired; Rafton had never had formal training as a warrior before embarking on his adventurous lifestyle. However, his useful talents include herbalism and playing musical instruments, and (thanks to a short stint on the riverways of the land) his skills as a boatman are surprisingly good.

The typical elven wanderer, Rafton has never cared much for causes or crusades, but his naturally curious nature (not to mention an occasional homicidal husband looking for him) often sends him adventuring with his comrades for the sheer sake of the experience.

One of the few remaining Ki Durkani, or "Troll Slayers", Rafton is well known to other elves as a hero of his people. Rafton is a practical and cautious elf, but his abundant nervous energy often interferes with long-term planning or philosophical pursuits. This sylvan elf is a man of action, in the ruins or under the covers.

Raisin ap Kirogik ip Myracin

NPC

Homunculus

 Raisin

Hometown: created in Myracin City

Appearance:

Wrinkly blue-green skin, with green eyes, and a little tuft of black hair sprouting from the top of his head. He has small, bat-like ears and wings, and a pair of tiny silver fangs.

While not technically an adventurer, the homunculus Raisin was created by the Wizard Likeyl to be her companion and familiar. The creature has the benefits of a genius intellect thanks to his creator, but lacks an adventurer's natural thrill of exploration and initiative. Raisin would prefer to study his mistress' history books, or sun himself on a tree limb and munch peanuts than delve into a grimy hole in the ruins of some forgotten dungeon. But complete loyalty to Likeyl and a rather patronizing affection for her adventuring companions carries the little homunc into their dangerous forays.

Armed with a tiny chalkboard for communicating, an impeccable wardrobe of stylish clothing, and needle-like teeth with sleep-inducing toxin, Raisin has seen more in his recent journeys with the group than most familiars see in a lifetime. While often perplexed by the actions of what he (correctly) perceives as less-intelligent humans, Raisin is happy with his life as head scout and frequent messenger for the party.

And when Likeyl's not looking, the little creature mimes a darn funny impression of her for the rest of the group...

Slag Stonecutter

Played by: Jacque

Jacque

Dwarf Fighter

This player was awarded the elven medal of a Silverbranch for Valorious conduct.

This player is dead and cannot or will not be resurrected. Rest in peace.

 Slag

Hometown: Kalimar Mountains

Appearance:

A rough character, Slag was usually grimy from adventuring. He was often disconcertingly covered in dried blood (or other nasty fluid) from combat. Slag had a calm demeanor even in the face of the most daunting challenges, although he wore a perpetual near-scowl that kept most people at a respectful distance. He had some facial scars from an incident involving an explosive keg of oil, but his beard hid some of this.

Slag Stonecutter was the first of his dwarf clan to leave the Kalimar Mountains and pursue his fortune elsewhere. Considered rash and impetuous by the more traditional dwarves, he was nonetheless looked upon as a warrior and hero by the younger mountain dwarves, who admired his battle prowess and bravery in the face of the most nefarious and deadly of foes.

Slag was 'not the brightest gem in the treasury', but his strength and stubbornness often carried him through any trials set in his way. In truth, Slag's desire for immediate results, and his firmly entrenched belief that his might made right, perhaps lead his comrades into a few nasty situations that might otherwise have been avoided. But never one to waste time learning a lesson from a situation already in his past, Slag merrily waded into the next crisis with a buoyant determination that was an inspiration to warriors everywhere.

Eventually ostracized by many in his kingdom for the fact that he was resurrected from death (a taboo in modern dwarven society), he was at heart a noble and valiant fighter with the welfare of his people foremost in his mind. He taught himself to be a businessman, a leader, and a lord before his life was again ended, this time by phase spider assassins indirectly in the employ of the Dark Lord Vladimir himself.
