The first collection of haiku was written by Kris when she was impatiently waiting for the DM to send her the details about the creation of her magic user's homunculus.  The second was, of course, crafted by one of the DM's alter-egos.  Enjoy.

My homunculus
looks like a lizard-bat though
he can't squeak at all

I like when it flies,
plays, or snoozes on its perch
and snores a little

I long to see it,
to know if it's green or brown,
alas I cannot!

I'd show him to you
if he was finished and then
you could feed him Spam!

A lizard with wings:
Magic and alchemy
make such a cute beast!

It can make you sleep,
beats having a buffalo
'cause it doesn't stink

Scrawny little guys
Don't put up much fight at all
Why look so funny?

Swat them with my club
They plummet out of the air
Go crunch under boot

Annoying lizards
Do not fly with wings pulled off
Bonk their heads with fist

Buttered they are good
Better than buffalo wings
Taste crispy in oil

Sharp little bites
Nasty venom in small gums
I go to sleep now
